We hope you enjoyed The Masters, what a thrilling last day it was. With Spieth finishing his front nine with 4 straight birdies, he looked set to claim the green jacket. However Amen corner stuck and he made a 7 up the par 3 12th. This allowed Englishman Danny Willett to climb onto top of the leader board! Willett shot a brilliant final round of 67 (-5), finishing -5 for the tournament and winning by 3 strokes from Spieth and Westwood. It was great to have 3 Englishmen in the top 5 with Casey finishing tied 4th.
Hopefully The Masters has given everyone the enthusiasm to get out on the golf course and try to emulate the world's top professionals.

Seniors Rose Bowl - 8th April
The Seniors held their 1st Major of the year on Friday which persuaded 42 seniors to enter and play off the white Tee's for the 1st time in since last October. The weather was just about perfect, so there was no excuses for most of us, although there were those who didn't need any. The competition was won by Rick Wilcox with a great score of 41 points. In second place on 38 points was one of our newest members Kevin Cartlidge and in 3rd place with 37 points was Ron Cowper. Well done to all that played in the first senior's major of the year.
Adam & Eve - 9th April
The 24th Annual Adam & Eve Competition was held on Saturday 9th April and once again was a great success followed by a meal in the evening. The turnout was the best it's ever been with 24 married couples participating in the first 'column' competition of the year and am happy to report that everyone was still talking to each other when their round was completed (OK some more than others). Our thanks go to the Lady Captain, May who agreed to be the starter and who then stayed all day to help Jane McGlashan, who very kindly checked and processed the cards. The competition 'would you Adam & Eve it?' was won with an incredible 43 points by Mark and Anita White followed very closely in second place with 40 points, Terry and Kay Osborne. The original trophy unfortunately had to be replaced as it had been going to counselling on numerous occasions and couldn't be fixed but we hope to bring it back for next year on its 25th Anniversary in some capacity.
