Greetings golfers,
Well done to James Reeson who recently won the Hunstanton Bowl.
In tough conditions he shot two great scores of 74, 71 beating fellow Brampton member Owen Davies (70, 75) on the second playoff hole.

Now! With all this recent talk about Medals, I was beginning to think the Olympics had arrived early. Unfortunately, the man upstairs has sent us some pretty wretched weather and this has lead to a great deal of shuffling. In this respect, I am now going to detail below the dates for the rescheduled medals.
Sunday 1st May MEDAL - rescheduled from original date of 12th March .
Sunday 8th May MEDAL - Remains this date as stated in diary.
Saturday 28th May MEDAL - rescheduled from 17th April.
All this information and sign-up sheets will be in the Competitions book in the Ladies locker room. I am hoping from now on we will get some decent weather and normal service will be resumed.
On a final note, Brampton Park had a mixed match with Wyboston on Sunday. Thank you to Elaine Cardwell, Sarah Rennie, Hilary Rogers, Fay Allison and your lovely husbands for signing up and taking part in a very enjoyable match. Brampton were victorious and won 3 1/2 to 1 1/2 so a fantastic result on a very soggy course. I was told they only close the course when the tills are underwater!!! Thank goodness for sensible and hardworking green staff at Brampton.
On Monday 18th. April 2016, Brampton Park Past Captains, Ladies and Men had their Annual Spring Away Day at Old Fold Manor, Near Barnet.
Although it is a great Golf Course it was rather wet yesterday underfoot as they have suffered as many other courses recently.
The winner with 34points was this year's Captain John Topping. In 2nd place with 33 points was Vince Davies. In 3rd with 31 points Mo poole and back in 4th with 29 points was Roz Irons.
Nearest pin on the 10th hole was Richard Boyd.
Nearest pin on the 7th hole could not be beaten HOLE IN ONE David Croker.
Well done to David.
Here he is with his scorecard and the Pro V1 golf ball he used.
He will talk anyone who wants to know through it.
