Men's Club Championship - 9th - 10th July
Congratulations to Owen Davies on winning with fantastic scores of 68 and 70 to finish on -4 for the competition. In Second place with scores of 71 and 69 finishing at -2 was James Reeson. In third with scores of 75 and 77 was Ian Robinson. Winner of division 2 with a total score of 166 was Gubby Panesar and winner of Division 3 was Dennis Lea with a total score 178.
With the championship being played over two days, day one saw a cloudy start which gradually turned into a wet afternoon. However this did not stop some good scoring as Owen shot a first round -3 to be leading by three at the end of day one with James 3 shots behind. At the start of day two the wind had picked up but the sun was out for a perfect afternoon of golf. As the leaders started James and Owen traded birdies for the first couple of holes and by the eighth Owen's lead was still 3 shots. Heading into the back nine with the wind picking up the situation stayed the same with Owen maintaining the lead all the way to the end despite James making a great birdie from the trees on 18 to cut the margin to 2 shots.

The defending champion is another American, Zach Johnson who won at St. Andrews. The weather forecast looks pretty good so let's hope for some good golf and a victorious European at the end of the week.
