Unfortunately last week we forgot to mention that the overall winner in the nett competition of the Club Championship. This was Joe Zarate with a nett total of 142, well played Joe. Also Kevin Ashton was the division 3 winner.

 

After a fantastic week of British Links Golf Henrik Stenson finally came out on top winning with a great score of -20. He found himself in a tight battle against Phil Mickelson all the way through with his lead being stretched to two shots going down the last for Stenson who calmly birdied the 18th to claim victory by three shots. 

Here in the pro shop we had a sweepstake draw and a Titleist draw for the open for which we can now announce the results. The Titleist draw was won by Brian Shepherd who will be heading down to the Titleist fitting centre for a brand new custom fitted set of irons. Congratulations.

25th Anniversary Gala 4BBB 16/07/2016 

Congratulations to James Wise and Jack Miles on winning with a great score of 46 points. In second place was Ian McDermott and Richard Goodwin with 46 points on countback and in third also on count back with 46 points was Richard Scott and Peter North. Captains 2 Person Scramble - 17/7/16 

In first place with a nett score of 62.7 was Mike Percival and Steve Tomkins. In second place on countback was Scott Ballentine and James Taylor-Alford with a score of 63.2. With the same score and finishing in third place was Mike Gays and James Wise. There were 5 eagles!! They were made by Owen davies and Danny Loveday x2, Alan Murray and Dennis Lea, Mike Gays and James Wise, Steve Lockert and Steve Kessler. Each player has been credited with £5.60 per eagle. Well done to everyone who took part.

Seniors Pazio Pot 08/07/16 

The 3rd Seniors major of the year, Pazio Pot was won by Nick Lynskey with 37 points, with Bob Wilson 2nd on 36 points and George Sharpington in 3rd place with 34 points.

Friday 15/07/16 

The seniors weekly stableford was won by Keith Nancekievill with 45 points in 2nd place on countback with 41 points was Phil Rogers. In 3rd place was Mike Brooks also with 41 points and finally in 4th place on 41 points was Eddie Danks.   

 

Brampton Park 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner 

On Friday night Al and I attended the Brampton Park 25th Anniversary Gala Dinner which I have to say was a fantastic evening! 

It was lovely to see everyone suited and booted dancing the night away.

 A big thankyou to everyone involved in making this such a memorable night.

 

Adam Pike won his first PGA East region event this Monday. 

He played at Kings Lynn Golf Club and shot a very good score of 69(-3). 

Adam's game has been in good order recently, he shot 70(-1) at East Herts Pro Am on the 1st July to finish 7th. Then he played at Brookmans Park in their Pro Am on the 15th July shooting 70(-1). 

So the result on Monday was the icing on the cake, and hopefully there is more to come!
