This week we have the club championship followed by the Charity day on Friday 18th as well as the Open Championship starting on Thursday.
Probably the best week in the golfing calendar and one we all look forward to.

Congratulations to Brian Fett on Winner the Wednesday W with a very impressive 46 Points! This was including 2 two's!
In second place was Jonathan Sharples with 41 points on count back over James Wise, who was third!

Pat Burgon
On Sunday 15th June the ladies had their first major competition which was the Pat Burgon 4BBB. The competition was started in year 2000 as so is now in its 15th year. There were 14 pairs that entered and it was hotly fought for the final top scores where 2nd 3rd and 4th were all at 40 points but the clear winners for the second year running were May Burn and Roz Irons with 42 points.
2nd place on count back were Lynda Hall and Pam Lammiman and in 3rd place on count back from Karen Cox and Amanda Rawson were Julie Miller and Kay Osborne.
After the competition the ladies had cream tea with homemade scones (made by Julie Miller) kindly provided by the lady captain Katie Dixon.
Stonecheck Cup 5-7-14
On Saturday was the Stonecheck cup, with a big field of teams the scoring was superb, with Nick Miller and JDW Davies winning with 47 points! Followed in second place by Michael McFadyzean and Steve Pinner on 45, there were 3 teams that finished on 44 points, countback determined who would take the 3rd and 4th positions, in 3rd was Ian Wibberley and Kevin Wrycraft and in 4th was Ian Robinson and Scott Ballentine taking the prizes from Dave Ives and Ben Moseley. Congratulations to all the winners and well played to everyone!
On A Mission Fitness Midnight to Morning March
This weekend Helen will be taking part in a midnight to morning march, it is the equivalent distance to a full marathon, 26 miles 385 yards and will be taking on the challenge in a force march style. All proceeds go to the charity "Walking with the wounded" so if anyone would like to sponsor her or has any loose change kicking about in their golf bag please pop it into the pro shop.
