A message from Bob Wilson the seniors Captain If you cast your mind back to the course preparation for the County Championships played here on the 10/11th June, you may remember how much better the fairways looked with the landing area divots filled with soil/sand/seed mix. Apart from the immediate aesthetic effect of filling damage with the mix, during the hard ground period it is preferable to replacing divots which are either picked off by birds or die off before they "take". Mix is being regularly replenished in the bins around the course, but unfortunately most of our buckets have either been lost, or the handles or attachment points broken over time. Nick Meehan is very keen for the initiative to be re-energised and expanded, so we have a new supply of buckets in the pro shop, free to anyone who is willing carry one on their trolley to aid the repair of our fairways. Many thanks to Bob Wilson
