Seniors Turkey Trot 08/12/2017
This was held Friday 8th December; a cold, windy, yet dry day. We had a record turnout with 64 players and there were 47 diners who, with rosy cheeks, sat down to an excellent meal. The winner of the competition was Bill Stenhouse with 39 points, congratulations to him; further prizes were awarded down to the 10th placed player, nearest the pin and for the 4 winners of the 2s competition. Driving Range Competition
This week with the course being closed due to the snow we thought we would trial a Nearest the Pin competition using our SkyTrack launch monitor and give some tips on swings at the same time all on the range. We ran a competition in the morning and the afternoon with a small presentation in the bar after each one. Both were very well attended and great fun so thank you to all that took part. Look out for more events like this if we have a course closure (hopefully not too many). Nearest the Pin from 150 yards. The prize winners were; AM 1st Nigel Mersh 4ft 9 inches 2nd Ian Richardson 8ft 5 inches 3rd Will Lancaster 11ft 5 inches PM 1st Glyn Evans 7ft 1 inch 2nd Alan Ahern 7ft 11 inches 3rd Dave Cotton 9 ft 1 inch
