Men’s Invitation Day This year’s Men’s Invitation Day was held on 16th June. The weather was perfect and the course was in fantastic condition with the greens rolling fast and true. Greensomes scoring during the morning round was excellent with a number of scores in the 40s. With all to play for in the 4BBB in the afternoon, scoring again was high, clearly fatigue was not an issue for these highly tuned athletes! Over the 2 rounds 80 points won it, but with 3 other pairs on 79 it was a really close-run event. Winners on the day were: Overall: Matt Casey and his guest George Cutts - 80 points 2nd OCB: Steve Kesseler and Dave Humphries on 79 points, but as both had paired-up due to their guests withdrawing and they graciously stood down from the prizes, which allowed Simon Bell and his guest Mike Lindsay to take overall 2nd. Best of the morning Greensomes round with 41 points was Greg Wills and his guest Steph Brand. Best of the pm 4BBB round with 44 points was Steve Webb and his guest Kevin Learoyd. There were nearest the pins on all 8 par 3s and it was pleasing that the majority of the winners were the guests. My thanks go to Steve Pinner for organising the event, to Charlotte and the bar team for looking after us so well and to Nick and the greens team for presenting to us such a fabulous course. Hope to see you all again next year.

Which bracket do you fall in? |
There’s one thing that you'll always need in abundance when playing golf and that’s balls - and plenty of them. Each golf ball we sell offers different levels of feel and performance at varying price points, meaning we have something to offer all playing preferences and budgets. |
| Bang for your buck Balls at a cheaper price point usually have one key performance benefit rather than offering a little of everything. This Callaway Warbird follows the trend by offering maximum distance with your longer clubs thanks to its aerodynamic dimples and high-energy core, giving you lots of power for little expenditure. |
| The all-rounder If you’re looking for more balanced performance through the bag but without the premium price tag, this Callaway Supersoft ball is designed to be long, straight and soft. It doesn’t spin as much as the Chrome Soft, but its low compression core helps create long, high flights that land softly. |
| Tour performance The saying 'you get what you pay for' certainly applies when it comes to golf balls. Callaway's Chrome Soft is their premium option, and it's easy to see why, with a soft urethane cover for short-game spin and a graphene-infused core that boosts ball speed and provides more iron control. |
