Junior Coaching

Throughout the summer holidays the juniors have had a weekly competition usually on a Thursday. We would like to thank Jon Edwards The Junior Organiser and David Creek for organising these compeitions and all their help in running these events.

This week we had the last of the summer holiday junior coaching sessions that have been run by George and myself.

It was great to see so many of the youngsters attend throughout the summer holidays. We had beginners from the age of 5 through to the advanced level of our junior squad so well done to everyone and keep enjoying your golf.

As we enter the school term we will be running coaching sessions on a Wednesday evenings so if you have any wee ones that are interested please let us know

Coaching Information

One of the questions we get asked is can non-members have lessons with us here at Brampton. Yes they certainly can as we are keen to help everyone improve their golf from novices to Professionals so if you know anyone that is interested please let us know.

Driving Range Information

As the nights are unfortunately drawing in now may be the time to start hitting some balls on the range and with the aim to improve your golf in each of the areas from Driving to Iron play.

The cost of the balls are £1 for twenty, a digicard with 10 credits for £9 or a pack of 10 digicards for £75 (2000 balls) all great value and all available from the Pro Shop

Midweek Medal 20/08/2014

The winner of the midweek medal was Richard Scott with a nett 68, in 2nd place on countback over Chris Cuthbert was David Kelsey with a nett 69. There were only four 2's winners this week, they are Jonathan Sharples, Scott Ballentine, Malcolm Rae and David Cotton, all recieving £19.50 on to their accounts in the pro shop! Well done to all the winners and to everyone who took part!

Intershipping Trophy 23-8-14

The start of the bank holiday competitions kicked off with the Intershipping Trophy on Saturday, The winning pair were Ian Wibberley and Tom McNeill with 45 points winning £71.50 each.

In Second place on countback with 44 points were Corrine Everett and her partner Dave Squires, on the same score in Third were the team of James Taylor-Alford and Kevin Cartlidge, In 4th also on 44 point were Simon Bell and Joe Zarate, Steve Cox and Brian Fett narrowly missed out on the prizes with the pair also recording 44 points! There was some excellent scoring out there on the day and a big thank you to the sponsor Steve Kesseler for his help. Congratulations to all the winners and to everyone who took part!

Monthly Medal & Scratch Cup

On Sunday the Monthly Medal was combined with the Scratch Cup .

This year's winner with a gross 73 was Simon Burns on count back from Mark King well done to both of you and Simon back on the board and an invite to play with James in the Professionals V Amateurs match at the end of the year

The Division One winner was Mark King with 73 net 67 and Simon Burns 2nd with 73 net 70 The Division Two winner was Brian Thomas with 78 net 67 and Nick Semple 2nd with 85 net 71 The Division Three winner was Paul Vella with 90 net 71 on count back from Kris Gibbs 90 net 71

There were three twos Ian Robinson, Brian Thomas and Ross Fairley who all receive £13.66 credited to your Pro Shop Account

Finally on the Monday was the Open Scramble, sadly there was a lot of rain which spoilt the day however there was still some very good scores.
1st Tom Mcneill, Ian Wibberley, Dan Stephens and John Tellett 55.125 getting £19 each credited to their accounts.
2nd Doug Poole, Mo Poole, Teresa Neeson and Peter Durham 57.37 £10 each
3rd Pam and Vin Lammiman, Keith Curr, JDW Davies 58.00
