As we head into 2015 we are keen to keep improving the newsletter that comes out to you both members and non members so you will see a few different areas this week , please let us know what you think .

Second place - Ian McDermott three adrift of clive with 41 points
Third place - Derek Holmes with 40 points, a great back nine secured Derek third place as five other competitors scored 40 points!

Division 3 winner - Tony Butler with a nett 63.278

Boxing Day Bash 26/12/14
Owen Davies and Mike Dunn were the winners in this years Boxing Day Bash, Owen managed to achieve a 2 on all 4 of the par 3's which is very good going!! Sadly However there wasnt a huge field of players so the winners of the 2's only recieved £1.16 Per Two! The other memebers of the 2's club were Stu Miller with Steve Kesseler and Mike Dunn with Owen Davies, the money has already been credited for each two onto their accounts! Well Done to Owen and Mike and well done to all those that took part!
Captains' Individual Stableford 28.12.14
In 1st place with a very impressive 40 points was James Rowe! He was also the only person to card themselves a 2 and got the pot of £30! which has been credited to his account in the Pro shop! In 2nd place with 35 points on countback over Harry Bailey was Neil Cousins! Congratulations to James and to all that took part!
Winter Bash 31/12/14
In bouncey and tricky Conditions the course was playing tough and for this reason was made a reductions only competition. In first place with 36 points was Peter North, closely followed on 35 points was Joe Zarate who beat Ray Stonnell and John Lindsey on countback! There was only two 2's on the day aswell, these came to Joe Zarate and Colin Williams. They have been credited with £21.50 onto their accounts. Well Done to all that took part and of course to the winners!

Throughout the year we are going to be passing on some tips to help your golf not only about the swing but also how to get round the golf course .
This week we look at grip thickness and how that can affect the shot you hit.
If your grips are too thick you are more likely to fade (slice ) the ball and if they are too thin you may well draw or hook the ball. With our re gripping pro mo running throughout January why not pop in and get the correct thickness to help your game .
There is a Big Quiz evening being held at Brampton Park Golf Club on Friday 23rd January. Teams of 4 players at an entry fee of only £10 per team. Food will be available from 5.30 pm to 7 pm with the quiz starting at 7.45 pm. Please see club notice board for further details.
Brampton Park Golf Club are holding a Mothers Day Sunday Lunch on Sunday 15th March. A detailed menu will be published shortly.
Following on from a number of requests we are starting to provide home made pasties and pies in the downstairs bar, please let us know your thoughts once you have tried these home made specialities.

This week another pro from Cowley Road Range and myself got an opportunity to go and watch the best football team in the world play against Hull. As we sell Cobra equipement and soon to be selling Puma clothing. Puma gave us the opportunity to go and watch The Arsenal (who's kit is a Puma kit) play against Hull in the FA Cup. As expected Arsenal won comfortably.
