Greetings golfers,
We begin another period here at Brampton Park by congratulating George on passing his PGA exams.
This has been a three year training programme to become a fully qualified Professional well done George on a great achievement.
We also have the Club Championship this weekend so the best of luck to everyone taking part over the Saturday and Sunday and for those not playing it would be worth popping down on Sunday afternoon to see the players challenging over the last few holes.
The Open Championship is less than a week away and although Rory will be missing due to that football accident I am sure it will be a fantastic spectacle around the old course at St Andrews with Jordan Spieth looking to make it three majors in a row. Bring it on!

On Monday I received my final year exam results, good news is that I passed every exam which means I have gone through the entire three years without a re-sit. This year I averaged out at 58.8 and my three year average will be around the 62 mark. This means I will be awarded at merit, which is a pleasing result. My best exam was the written custom fitting where I scored 82 out of 100.
Golf this year has been up and down but I seem to be playing well in the bigger events, the order of merit events. This is pleasing for me as I have been building my swing to work under pressure and it seems to be working. Please click here if you would like to take a look. I am 6th in the order of merit and second in the trainees order of merit. my next order of merit is on the Wednesday 22nd July at Colchester.

On Saturday night I took part in an organised event with On A Mission Fitness, this was a Marathon March, a full 26.2 miles that started at midnight, and we finished at 7.30 am Sunday morning.
I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who sponsored me ! I am still collecting so if anyone would still like to make a donation to "Walking with the Wounded" a charity that raises funds to help wounded servicemen and women find careers post-injury. Please pop in to the shop and see me. Many thanks!

In first place with a very impressive 43 points was Dean Legg, In second place with 39 was Eamonn Byrne and closely behind him on 38 points was Malcolm Wyatt!
