James wins the County Open
Congratulations to James Reeson for winning the County Open sponsored by Solopark of Pampisford which was held at The Gog Magog Wandlebury course on Sunday.
James won with a fantastic score of 74 + 68 =142 in conditions that were varied to say the least throughout the day.
Congratulations Jimbo making it the: County foursomes, Amateur and Open all in the same year, could that be the county grand slam?
Men's Captain's Weekend 2016 - 14/15/16 May
The sign-up sheet for this is now in the Men's Locker Room. Forest Pines is a purpose built 4* Golf Resort and Spa in North Lincs with 3 different 9 hole courses available; a different course (of two 9's) will be played each day for whatever prizes the Captain (recently divorced!) can afford. The price of £250 shared, £310 single occupancy covers 3 rounds of golf and DBB in decent accommodation plus use of pool/gym etc. For those who may wish to partake fully in the off course facilities, we will all have a 10% discount on bar purchases. That could be a considerable saving for some!
It is planned to be a social and fun golfing weekend and I hope all the 'regulars' and more will join me for this event. I would encourage anyone who has not considered it before to do so; even though there will be competitions there is no reason not to enjoy the company, the golf and the venue on your own terms. All abilities are welcome!

- There were 7 roll-ups plus Pazio's Pot Competition in July with an average of 36 players. Pazio's Pot was won by Colin Allison with an excellent 42 points.
- To the end of July we had played 18 matches with 14 wins 2 draws and 2 defeats. The match against Abbotsley proposed for the end of July had to be cancelled as they could not raise a team.
- Sadly we lost our Semi-Final of the CAGU KO Cup at Menzies 4 - 2, but it was a close match.
- Football has re-started, same old, same old.
