Captain Pro Challenge
On Sunday we had the Captain & Professional Challenge play off where the pairs that played against the Captain and I during the year played 18 holes followed by lunch.
This year the Captain & Professional matches have been as competitive as ever and as I said to Chris at the start of the year anything can happen and ceratinly did! You chaps know the shots you pulled off and putts you made. The standard of golf played throughout the year was fantastic and the spirit in which they were played is something that I always remember.
This year we played 16 matches winning 7 losing 7 and halving 2.
The overall winners of the Captain & Professional Trophy this year were Pat Doyle and Lyn Griffiths well played guys and thanks to everyone else that played.
I would also like to say a special thanks to Chris not only for the way he played during the matches (Thanks partner you got us out of a few scrapes) but also the 4BBB team spirit we had. These games are one of the highlights of my year and I look forward to partnering JT (John Topping) next year so bring on the challengers!
The Captain Pro Play off day was won by Kevin Ashton and Nick Gabb with a remarkable 41 pts considering not only the weather but the banter they received from the group behind them . Well played. They won on countback from Simon Bottomley & Mick Dean and JDW Davies & Peter North.
The twos winners were: Adam Longford & Steve Nokes, David Creek & Steve Lockert , JDW Davies & Peter North ,Harry Bailey & Malcolm Bainbridge and Jon Edwards & Richard Scott with £3.20 credited to each account.
Lady Captain & Pro Matches
This year I also had the pleasure of playing three Lady Captain / Pro matches with Nel which were also great fun. Again all the ladies raised their games in the 4BBB format and Nel played some sparkling golf especially on the last few holes. I look forward to playing these again next year.

Captains Multiplier - Saturday 31st October
In 1st Place with a fantastic score of 251 were Karen Cox, Brain Fett, Harry Edwards and Jonathan Sharples. In 2nds place were Pam Lammiman, Vin Lammiman, Corrine Everett and Ray Stonnell who got 192 points. There were 11 two's on the day they came to Brian Fett, Harry Edwards, Greg Wills, Tom McNeill, Stu Miller, Gabriel Power, Keith Curr, Alan Wood, Malcolm Bainbridge x2 and Owen Davies. £6.18 per two has been credited to their accounts in the Pro Shop. Well done to everyone that took part!
Adam is looking for 3 people to join him on a PGA Pro-Am at Elton Furze Golf Club on the 12th November. It is an 8.30am tee off with coffee and bacon rolls served in the clubhouse from 7.45AM and also a 2 course lunch after. The cost is £45 per person, if anyone is interested please let us know.
